Temporary mailbox

A temporary mailbox is your short-term PO box on the web: a place mail can land for a while, then close up entirely. MailboxTemp opens one for you instantly, no key, no lease, no paperwork.

What is temporary mailbox?

A temporary mailbox is a self-expiring inbox. Mail arrives, you read it, and when the timer runs out the whole mailbox — messages and all — is permanently removed.

A real example

Receiving a one-off attachment or a confirmation you only need to glance at? A temporary mailbox holds it just long enough, then cleans itself out so nothing accumulates.

How temporary mailbox works on MailboxTemp

  1. Open MailboxTemp — a temporary mailbox address is waiting the moment the page loads.
  2. Copy it and paste it into whatever form is asking for an email.
  3. Messages arrive live; any one-time code is pulled out and shown at the top.
  4. When the timer runs out, the inbox and its contents are permanently erased.

Good to know

Everything in a temporary mailbox is deleted at expiry, so save anything you actually want to keep before the timer ends.

Frequently asked questions

Is temporary mailbox really free?

Yes — creating a temporary mailbox inbox and receiving mail costs nothing and needs no account. Optional Pro features (longer life, custom address, no ads) are the only paid extras.

How long does it last?

Free inboxes live for one hour and can be extended in 10-minute steps; Pro inboxes last 24 hours. At expiry the address and every message are permanently deleted.

Can I receive verification codes and OTPs?

Yes. MailboxTemp detects one-time codes in incoming mail automatically and surfaces them at the top of the inbox so you can copy them in a tap.
